....may contain spoilers!.....
I've read a lot of other mangas, but I still want to comment on them all. So here goes!
The first manga I had ever read was one I found at the library: I. N. V. U. It's also from tokyopop, that I hadn't known (but when you find a manga in the U.S., I think it's 60% likely that it's from Tokyopop!). It's actually pretty interesting. As far as I know, only volumes 1-3 have been released, but I think there is supposed to be a fourth volume, right? Well, please tell me when it comes out over here. Is it even released in Korea??? Well, it's been a while since I read INVU, so I forgot a lot of it. But I do know that it was interesting. If I'm right, then it was about a girl who was in love with her teacher, but there was another guy in love with her. He was some sort of bad boy, like Kiley, I guess. I do remember that the light was off, and they were together in one scene. And...he licked her forehead...I guess. At the end of Volume 3, I dunno what happened. But I know that I am so definitely cheering for the guy who licked her forehead (what's his name? Something like...saho? Let me check. Nope it was siho...)!
A manga I am really a fan of, even though I read it long ago, still to this day, I LOVE MARMALADE BOY!!!! I read it in November 2004, but I'm still rereading it! It's such a cute, lovely, beautiful comic! My favorite character is definitely Yuu Matsuura! He is so cute, and he is...funny? Not really. Smart? Yes, yes, yes. I love smart people!!! Yuu is clever, the way he jokes with Miki. He put bubblegum on her hand in the first volume!! But he is so distant. Like Momo said in volume 3 of change of heart (or four...?) Kiley can't have a relationship if he's always so distant! But I still like Yuu... Also, Meiko is smart, too. She knows a lot about love, doesn't she? Well, if I dated a teacher, I guess I would too...Anyway, I also like Miki she's so cute. Especially the way she moves her hands! Well, I guess that's it about Marmalade Boy.
One of my favorite manga-kas is Yuu Watase. She's the author of Ceres: Celestial Legend (Or just Ceres), Fushigi Yuugi: The Mysterious Play, Imadoki: Nowadays, and Alice 19th: The Lotis Master/Inner Heart/Chained/Unrequited Love/Jealousy/Blindness/The Lost Word.. She talks a lot, too. The writing is kinda small, and she speaks so much that sometimes I don't read it. ^.^; My favorite of all her mangas is Alice 19th! It was the first I read, and I thought, at the start, it sucked because the heroine was looking like a girl about an age between thirteen or fifteen, and she was chasing a bunny (but I can't say much about this, cause I still chase kitty-cats and puppy-dogs *sweatdrop*)! And there was the wonderful Prince Charming (Kyo) who helped her. Who seemed about 17. I know the bunny is an important part of the series, but come on. It should be the bunny chasing Alice instead! Oh well. It's still my favorite. My second favorite from Watase is Fushigi Yuugi: The Mysterious Play. My favorite parts are the romance parts with Tamahome and Miaka!! (If you don't know what I'm talking about, Tamahome is a boy from another world that Miaka, the main character, is in love with.) Tamahome is cute. I also like Chichiri. He's gemini (like my brother). He's the cat-guy who keeps saying no-da. Actually, I like every one of the 7 constellations of suzaku (are there 7? I've only read up to volume 4, so I don't know the seventh, but I'm sure I'll like whoever it is!). Especially Tamahome! I can see why both *spoiler!* Yui and Miaka like him. He's so nice. I also like Hotohori. Why does he like Miaka?! Leave Tamahome and Miaka alone!! I can't wait to read volume five of Fushigi Yuugi! My third must be Ceres: Clestial Legend. I love those romantic parts with Toya and Aya!!! I used to know someone like Toya so I guess I like Toya more then any other character in Ceres. Also, one of my favorite parts was the one where Yuhi forced himself on Aya. I guess I liked it cause...I was waiting for it. I don't have that much to say about Ceres because I only got up to volume 3. I like it anyway, though. When she lets out her "celestial maiden" I gets kinda boring. I only read it for the romance, anyway... Even though Imadoki comes last I still like it a lot. I read volume 2 and then volume 1, so it's a little confusing. I definitely liked volume 2 more. Everyone was so much more friendlier. And that Saionji girl was much more interesting in v.2. I'm still waiting for my request of volume 3 to come to me... I guess that's all I can say about Yuu Watase. I've written quite a lot about her. Heh...Actually, then, she might be my favorite manga-ka....I don't have to choose between her and Miwa Ueda, now, do I...?
I don't know the author of Hana-Kimi: For You In Full Blossom. Hisaya Nakajo, isn't it? I finished volume 3 of Hana-Kimi recently. it's so intresting. Why won't Sano just tell Mizuki he knows she's a girl?! Why?! Why can't they just be together?! Why won't that guy (Nakatsu? What's his name?) just find out that Mizuki is a girl? But wait...if he does, and if Sano tells Mizuki he knows she's a girl, and they get together....what'll happen to Nakatsu?! Gah, leave that to the author. Hana-Kimi is another one of those mangas that I don't have much to say about. Oh well. (I used to confuse Hana-Kimi with Kare Kano. Can you beleive that?!)
I've finished up to volume 7 of Kare Kano: His and Her Circumstances. Volume 7 is soooo my favorite volume. Kare Kano isn't that different from someone's life. It's just about what happened between a couple so I guess it doesn't really matter which volume you're reading. It just takes some time to understand who it is when they say "Miyazawa" or "Yukino" or "Yuki," etc.
I read Wish volume 2 today. Oh, my favorite parts are definitely the parts with those two cats. They're cute. Stupid. Strange. Ugly. I love CLAMP's manga! Especially Chobits. I was so obsessed with Chobits earlier, that I repeated "sumomo" over and over again. Oh, how embarrassing. My favorite cover is volume seven's cover. Oh, oh, it's so sad. So sad that Chobits only lasted 8 volumes. But I have got to admit, volume 8's cover wasn't that nice. Kind of hurts my eyes... I recently read The One I Love. It's a collection of love stories. 12 of them. But it's so short!! When I requested it I thought it would be so much longer! How big is it, anyway? Less then an inch? Hey, in Wish 2, Hotaru, Shuichiro's mom looks a lot like someone in the One I Love. But who?! Is it even the One I Love?? Oh well. And there's also another book by CLAMP I have...ah yes! Angelic Layer. It has barely any romance so I guess it isn't one of my favorites by CLAMP... But Chii is so cuuuute! And Sumomo is too! There's also Kotoko, she's cute too, but she should smile a bit. She's only be cuter then. If you search for a picture of Chii, it's likely you'll find the one with her looking at Sumomo. Ugh, I saw this sumomo cosplay, and oh man, it sucked!! Please, if any of you reading this plan to cosplay, do us all a favor and do it well! -_-;; Study the character you cosplay as and make sure everything is exactly like the character! Same skin color, hair color, eye color, shape of mouth, nose, body, eyes, feet, same clothes, etc. Or else don't show anybody how badly you cosplay!! Back on topic, Chii is cute. Not nearly as cute as sumomo, but it's cute the way she has Hideki teaching her. (Hey, I should talk about Hideki now. I haven't said anything about him!) HIdeki isn't the cutest guy, though. Nakatsu (Hana-Kimi: For You In Full Blossom) is 10x cuter! And if Nakatsu is ten times cuter, then that makes Tamahome 300x cuter! Wait but if Tamahome is three hundered times cuter, then Kiley is 500000x cuter! Oh my goodness, if Kiley is fifty thousand times cuter, then...Hideki must feel really bad. Oh...oh no, how does Hideki feel now?! Sorry Hideki, but not only are you not very cute, but you're not cool either. Toya is fifty thousand times cooler then you!
Fruits basket is so cool, and so many people have read it, and you can read their review so why should I comment on it?! Oh, Yuki is so cute. I like him more then Kyo, I have to admit. The author is one of those few authors that have a pen name, can you beleive it... I only read up to volume 2 of Fruits Basket, and since the library doesn't have the rest, it might take a while until I read the rest. I like Shigure so so much I might make a Shigure shrine...
If there's a manga worse then Happy Mania, God, I don't want to read it! Why didn't someone warn me that Happy Mania sucks?! (cuz I have no friends...) Oh, the drawings are so horrible! Nobody there is cute! I can't read the second volume and I won't!!! The plot is pretty bad too. I've heard it before, and no, I don't want to hear it again. It's just so horrible, I can't beleive it. It's so horrible it makes me want to cry. It's so horrible, I want to read the second volume. It's so horrible I want to finish the series!
I guess MoDeL is okay. (It's actually just Model, but I like spelling it like that!) Lee So-Young has got to be a pen name. I mean, who has a last name like that? So-young? Like I'm so young? Oh my. But Mom disapproves of it. She says that the guy on the cover (Michael, the vampire) reminds her of death, which isn't a good thing. And it isn't, but I have a sweet love for MoDeL coated with bitter hate. Like marmalade! Tee hee...
Dolls is really extremely well drawn! It's by VIZ, anyway. Umm...yeah. Well I only read volume two, not even volume one, and it wasn't that interesting, just a collection of stories, like The One I Love, but The One I Love is much more interesting.
Ugh! Snow Drop's drawings suck so bad!!! You wouldn't beleive it after seeing the covers. The covers are beautiful, yet...ugh, those horrible drawings! The only thing that's got me requesting volume 5 is the plot, and the plot needs more work, too. It's just typical shojo, I guess. Oh well, suck on, Choi-Kyung-ah, suck on and on and on, and you'll still get that money coming.
Ya wanna know something? Cheeky Angel looks anime enough, but open the book, and realize your mistake. It doesn't look that anime. I guess it is pretty anime, but oh well. I read volume one along with Gravitation yesterday, so yeah. Gravitation wasn't that great either. It's well drawn, yeah, definitely, but no, it's plot is a bit boring. My favorite character is...what's his name? The one that came to the singer's contest, though the singer was saying "You know what? Don't come." It's another one of those gay comics. Gay not meaning happy, but man-man love.
Swan does suck. It's about ballet, so it isn't that intresting. Take it away, boys, I don't need that manga!
Ranma 1/2 is just another well drawn manga from Rumiko Takahashi. Oh well. Nice plot, but whatever. Inuyasha, same thing. Nice plot, but I don't like action all that much, you know? Maison Ikkoku, yeah, it's romance, the crap I like, but no....I only read volume one, and I can't and won't read volume two. I have better things to read.
Love Hina is cool but it is so perverted!! Ken Akamatsu you are a creep!! What's that Motoko always perfoms? Cutting Air Slash, second form! I don't really like you Naru! I mean, make up your mind about Keitaro a little quicker, he's crying over you. It's so great you'll get married in the end, and better yet, shirai and haitani will be there too. Do you know my older brother is a big fan of you two?? I have more to say about you, Naru-- I liked you better when you were drunk! Sure you're a pretty girl, but oh my goodness gracious, aren't pretty boys better? Lol. And I'm envious of your antennae, so will you stop freaking waving it around?! Kaolla you are my favorite character, yes you are. You are so smart, so great, so...princess, you are better then me. waaaaah...why won't you just go back to Mol mol?! Motoko is so cool! So strong! Ohhh... And Kitsune is cool too. I don't know how. And why, why do we never get to see any of her?! Cause Ken Akamatsu likes that Naru girl more, darn it! And Shinobu is so cute, the only average girl in that whole dormitory!! Nyamo is so cute, so very very cute. I wish my hair was more like hers, but if I cut if short it would look bad because my hair is so full... And what about Kanako? Oh, they say she's like me. Oh, I feel so proud. Kanako is so cool, along with every other abnormal character of Love HIna (except stupid Narusegawa...) And Ema Maeda? What about you? I bet you'll end up to be a great character, too. My best wishes to you! Oh, yeah, and what about that cute little Tama-Chan?? Oh you are so cute, Tama(home)chan! Well, well, am I babbling on and on! Sorry about this.
Sorry, but Boys Over Flowers isn't that well drawn, I've seen much better (Yuu Watase, Ken Akamatsu, Fruits Basket, CLAMP, Hisaya Nakajo, etc.) Oh, but I'm sure the plot is great!! Boys Over Flowers is about a poor girl who is really mentally strong. The Flowery Four, much more commonly known as the F4, four beautiful rich kids, known to be bullies to anyone who hurts them in the smallest way (like touching them!)! And they give them a red slip, their declaration of war. Oh, that famous red slip! Tsukushi, the poor but mentally strong girl, fights back, and really well, too!
Mars, by Fuyumi Soryo, is really really well drawn, it's so well drawn and beautiful it makes me jealous!, and the plot is great. Its about a good quiet girl who meets a loud bad boy and they fall in love somehow. It's really violent, and pretty heavy though. Except for horse with no name. Actually, I think I'd rather have read horse with no name before Mars, because Horse with No Name is not a continuation but well let's see if you can guess what it is by this clue "Every great love story has a beginning." Ya see? Mars, by Fuyumi Soryo, is a great manga!
Well, that was all the manga I want to comment on right now. I have read so much more, one is hot gimmick, but I won't comment on that. So that's all for now.
I've read a lot of other mangas, but I still want to comment on them all. So here goes!
